ABOUT ME...

Hello there! I'm Britta. I was raised in a suburb of Minneapolis by a family of musicians and theatre lovers. From one Midwest state to the next, I moved to Ohio to receive my BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). I am now an NYC-based theatre artist. Thank you so much for stopping by!

On my latest project, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical...

"Britta Rae is perfection personified as Carole King."

"The authenticity of Rae's acting just moved me to cry right there in the second row."

"I don't know that I was prepared for just how nuanced her performance would be."

The Sappy Critic

Kirk Sheppard

“They’re great individual performances…especially Rae’s often painful cracking of her chrysalis to be born into the next thing, more than once.”

Columbus Underground

Richard Sanford

“Rae’s second reading of “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” after she learns of yet another Goffin affair is one of those neck hair-raising moments that stick with you long after the show is over.”

Broadway World Columbus

Paul Batterson

Sunday in the Park with George at CCM...

" Rae's performance might be the best I've witnessed in the last decade by a college student. Her nuanced and varied take on the roles, ability to convey vulnerability, acting through non-verbals, and terrific singing throughout is a treat to witness. "

Talkin' Broadway

Scott Cain

"...is as superb a performer as you’ll see anywhere. Her command of these characters is skilled; she’s a fantastic actress. But her ability to sing the score with such precision and fine melodic tone while acting — well, it’s just extraordinary. "

The Best of Broadway! CCM Celebration at 54 Below...

" Each of the sixteen young adults delivered admirably of themselves and their talent, especially Britta Rae, Tyler J. Martin, and Chesney Mitchell, whose solo club acts this reporter will be looking for in the future. "
